Ahoy
American Idol is brilliant. Well, I should say - the first like... half of the season, before they get to Hollywood, is brilliant. They should change the name to "American Audition" and just have it be Randy, Paula and Simon ripping or praising people. Watching these completely delusional people sing is television gold. Gold. Pots of gold, in fact. Then throw in the really good people, because it's so refreshing and cool when Simon finally says, "You're terrific - really, really, terrific."

Admittedly, it's pretty depressing sometimes when they start crying after their fantasies are crushed. However, sometimes it's wonderful.. tehehehe. Especially when they're sooooo delusional they get angry and state categorically that "I can sing! I can sing!" and then go after the hosts (who, are, you know.. succssful?) after getting out of the audition on the little confessional cam. ("Randy? You don't even matter, what have you done? Produced songs for Tony Braxton and Mariah Carrey? Wow.")

This is all made even more hilarious since 75% of the males are flamingly gay, and go all ghetto'd out when they're mad. Sweet dude. Fucking sweet!

Though I suppose it's like me saying, "I can make movies! I can!" ¬_¬

In other news, as I suspected I didn't need to watch the Superbowl to see the commericals. I can proudly say I didn't watch one second of the game. Didn't even click by it. Instead my TV was planted on Comedy Central, Cartoon Network and the National Geographic Channel (god, I'm addicted to that channel). Back in the town, but where'd it go?
Okay, I just lost a ton of pictures from the past 3 months. My computer is horribly fucked and pretty much decided to commit suicide while I was away. I got back to find my C drive freacking out, and in the end I lost everything on the drive. The full impact of that didn't dawn on me until a few hours ago. Most of the content on my computer is stored on my other HDD, the D/E drives, and the stuff that was on C I either already have backed up, or can easily get back. However, there was one thing left on the C drive that I cannot. My pictures. Not my photography, my snapshots of friends, of crazy things from the past 3 months. I had previously lost a month of these pics due to the same issue, and that sucked as it was. But I lost a lot more this time. .. *sigh*

I've spent the last several hours scouring the net for programs that can recover lost files, with no luck. So if you know of a program that can retrive stuff off formatted drives (yes, I know) drop me a line. I've probably tried them all by now anyway.

I started running tests for 'Aristotle' today. It's gonna be a rough week assembling the footage for this short, but I think it'll turn out okay. Getting the actors to perform properly will be.. hard.. though. You'll see. :)

I really hope I can at least shoot Broken Water (that title bugs me.. I need a new name) by Friday. I'll give Stu and/or Pat a call tomorrow.

I was going to spend this week hitting bars and clubs. But I'm thinking I'll have to wait till the weekend of the 21st now. Bah..
