New '24' game nears - Ferrago

Quote: Despite no official word forthcoming still, the long-rumoured videogame based on the series 24 is apparently on the way, Sony having acquired the publishing rights from Fox and set their Cambridge studio to work on the officially licensed title - set amid the conspiratorial plottings of the anti-terrorist series. The developer has reportedly been working on the game for some time too, though Sony remain resolutely tight-lipped, denying everything.

24 would certainly make for an ace game, potentially, the subject matter of course already a stalwart of the industry, though it would certainly be interesting to see if the game's creators could mimic the 'real' -time aspect that made the series so stylistically unique. More news is hoped for on this officially at E3 this May, with the Official Playstation magazine hinting at a release toward the end of 2005; excitingly. Let's hope they can get Mr Sutherland in to voice-act; now that would be jolly, wouldn't it?

Hmm.. it's PlayStation... Guess I'd have to borrow David's.

Assuming this game is any good. Which games based on TV series/movies rarely, rarely, are.

Still, it has promise.

I was digging around the site tonight and found an interview with Matt & Trey prior to the release of Team America, that includes this Q&A -


Q: Are you concerned about the upcoming election? Do you care about it?

Matt: Sure we care about it. I guess we care.

Trey: I would care more if it was like one guy that was just like ok. This guy is awesome. This guy can really help out the country. Then I would care. Right now you kind of have two shit heads, so it is kind of like you can vote for shit head one or shit head two. You know it is like, well you are going to the movie theatre and you can either see without a paddle or some other shitty movie on. Without a paddle 2. I don't know what I am going to do.

Matt: I am opposite I think they are both so great I can't decide. It is like cherry pie or chocolate cake on the desert tray. I don't know.
