So like, when you have children, do you completely lose your mind?
This is a question I've been wondering about for a while, but so much of insane parental complaints have been around lately that it's fresh in my mind. But the spark to post this came from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory forum on imdb. I'm not hugely anticipating this film, but it does look interesting and I was checking out the word on the film after seeing the teaser trailer.
What was there was a collection of obvious parents making bizarre suggestions and offering bizarre opinions on the teaser.. such as (on Depp), "The downside to that performance is that from some comments, like the "Let's Boogie" in the beginning of the trailer, he sounds slightly like Michael Jackson, which is a bit unnerving with all that's going on the news involving him right now."
What the fuck?
I really think that there's something that snaps when you have kids that render you a tad off the mark. It's kind of scary. I mean, people are poorly adjusted normally - so the get pushed off the edge even more is not encouraging. But how can you avoid it?
I wish I'd have known Menthol was at the Bottom Lounge again last weekend. I haven't been checking their site because I thought they were still on a touring hiatus as they worked on their new album. Oh well..
Speaking of music, I'm really disappointed in Eminem's new album. Except for Just Lose It, the only other good song on his new album is Mockingbird (and the end of that song is terrible - even Tupac did songs that had no swearing.. I thought Eminem had made it through a full 4 minute song without saying, "Fuck" only to throw it in for no reason in the last 2 seconds).

It's been too long
2 months since an update.
I've got 6 finished short scripts now, and one feature, and all I have to show for this is a single complete, non-sensical, experimental video.
Lets see.. I've got:
1.) Sartre - this one will probably be finished first, since all it requires from someone other than myself is voicework from one person, and the rest I can film on my own, alone.
2.) Broken Water - probably will be shot soon, I hope. Again, requires only a single actor but I may or may not need a boom mic person. This would have gone online this week, however Pat couldn't make it to my apartment to shoot this weekend, so no go. I may shoot it at Sarah's place over the break but I'd actually much prefer to shoot here.
3. Echoes, parts 1-3 (of 3) - 3 episode web series. Scripts have been complete since summer, haven't shot any of it. No idea when any of it will be shot.
4. Emulsion˛ - Second episode of Emulsion, to build upon the "story" developed in the first installment. This is mostly a matter of getting Stu and the new actor together in the same room at the sam time to shoot, and their schedules never seem to work out.
5. Malaise - of course, you all know this one. Not sure if it's even a project at all anymore since Echoes borrows so heavily from it, in a condensed shorter form.
Anyone want to be in a movie?
