Complimentary
Music: Conan on Comedy Central
Mood: I haven't slept yet..

Why is it that, in general, girls insist on using complimentary color schemes that render their text virtually unreadable, without causing one's eyes to bleed?

Red (or black) text on green background.
Green (or black) text on red background.
Yellow text on purple background.
Purple text on yellow background.

Etc.

Why do they do it? I really don't understand... :(

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...

I've recently fallen in love with the wonders of Bit Torrent. It's really quite a magical thing, that negates the perils of spyware and adware of Kazaa and Grokster and other such P2P file sharing networks. I was originally loathe to use it because of the way it kind of "forces" you to share files - but when I realized how it does it, and why, I was all for it. I find myself ensuring that I at the very least upload as much as I download to ensure someone else out there reaps the benefits of my download... Anyway, as opposed to Kazaa, Torrent has a lot more of the files I want to download.. not so much in terms of individual music files, but more films, TV series, apps, and games than the eye can see. And at decent speeds too. Not the 4kbps I'd get on Kazaa's network despite a DSL connection. No, now at least I manage 60-120kbps. That's quite a fucking improvement.

My HDD is cursing me for cramming so much into it.

I used to download megabytes and megabytes of data. Now I'm downloading gigabytes and gigabytes.

In the past week I've gotten:
12 episodes of Season 3 of 24 in high res XviD video, in widescreen
Ken Park
Elephant
Battle Royale II
Mystic River
Dark Water
4 episodes of Iron Chef

And I haven't watched half of it yet... ! (Just Battle Royale II, Iron Chef and bits of Ken Park.. which, btw, is a pretty hardcore movie)

The only drawback is that I have zero blank CD-Rs at the moment and I've run into some errors trying to unpack the files due to lack of space :P

I haven't slept yet tonight. I think Stu and Pat are visiting today but whatever.. I haven't done anything this week since Monday besides sleep and go to class. I mean, it's bad.. I get up.. drag my body to class, stuggle to keep my eyes open, then wander back home.. climb back in bed and sleep away the day. I feel so... useless.

Meh.

I did write 5 pages for the next Kanzen short though. Since Emulsion was so "anti-narrative" and devoid of dialogue, I'm making this one very dialogue intensive with a very linear story... I may also end up acting in this one since I'm more or less writing one of the parts for me... This could be bad. :-
Also, I took down the Malaise clips and replaced the site with a "Coming 2004" tagline. I guess we're really going to finish it. In the time after the next short and before resuming Malaise, I'm going to go back through the whole script and re-do parts of it. I was never satisfied with the opening scene, and I think I've figured out what it was missing.

Okay.. one more hour of awakeness, then sleep for Brendan.

Can't go back
Music: American Idol in the background
Mood: My head hurts

I slept all day long. All day long. And I'm still tired. I can't remember the last time I woke up and felt "awake".

I also barely have any food in my apartment. I've been eating apples all day long for the last few weeks. I think I'll go shopping tonight... I need something crunchy... Maybe some crackers.

This sucks.
