I came to a horrifying conclusion this morning.
Sarah has terrible taste in film.
That may not mean much to other people, but as a film student.. yeah... That's like Martin Luther King Jr. dating a KKK member.
Maybe not that extreme.. but you get the point.
How do I know? She found Boat Trip "entertaining".

When I left off I wasn't in the happiest of moods, and really I'm still not. But I'm not in that angry, hateful, hurtful mood so much as just generally depressed. Not entirely sure what it is. I blame Coldplay personally.
Funny thing about that song, after we did eps 122 - we were driving home and Pat popped in my CD with this song on it. We were listening to it and it was one of those weird moments where you knew everyone in the car was thinking about someone or something relative to it, and significant to them - and intermittently singing along. I guess it was male bonding...?
I hope everyone had a satisfactory New Year's Eve. Mine didn't go completely according to plan, but it still went. And it went fine. Actually, better than fine - it was good. Although Sarah and I were supposed to spend it at my apartment, she caught the flu a couple days before the 31st - and so by NY Eve she wasn't feeling up to a train ride and trek through winter Chicago weather to get to my place. So I ended up coming back to my apt for a night for the sole reason of editing and uploading the SR eps, and then came back home on the 31st to spend New years with her. We went to Stefin's place for his little gathering of friends - and it was a really nice time. I've never really had friends to spend New Year's Eve with - at least not like this. And despite still feeling a touch under the weather, Sarah said it was her best New Year's by far - so that's something.
Over break something happened that that probably won't be happening again for a while - all of us from work, all of us, got together. Karen, Alyssa, Katie, Marisa and myself. Our little clique. Our generation of employees. In addition to it simply being convenient to get in touch during the break, there was also a more poignant matter that brought us together. To say goodbye to Katie. Katie's transferred schools and is now off in the wilderness of Wisconsin. Where cell phone signals cannot reach. It was actually quiete a journey for her to get there - but she earned it. And she'll do well. It sounds pefect for her.
Good luck Katie. We'll see you again soon.
