117 pages in length.

My first feature-length screenplay.

It' strange to have finished it. It didn't feel at all like I expected it to. I was expecting that sense of relief that one feels after writing a long essay or research paper for school. But it didn't feel anything like that. I suppose that's because nothing's really "done" yet. This screenplay was only the beginning of a larger project. So even though a huge chunk of it is now complete, an even larger one lies ahead.

All I can hope now is that this works.
That the script and story work.
That all the actors work.
That Pat works.
That I work.

Friday is our second production meeting. Technically speaking, we're already a week behind. The original idea was to begin shooting this week. But something happened that made us recast 2 main roles in the film. That's a big deal. And something I'd rather not have had to do, but there was no choice. Hopefully, if this meeting works out, we'll begin shooting next week. The 26th.

I cannot wait.

It's like - I want to *do this*. And I want to do it *now*. When I was writing I'd start to feel very guilty that I wasn't working hard enough. That I'd be doing 5 pages over 2 weeks. Which was a bad average. But then, on the 14th and into the 15th of this month - I wrote about 20 pages straight. I suppose in the end it evened out. Writing this first script, I learned that even though I wasn't necessarily writing, I was always working.

Website for the film will launch as soon as the first scenes are shot.

Here goes nothing.
